Student Profile:

Uma comes from a family of four, where her father earns his daily wages as a mason. Although both parents have little or no education themselves, they are very keen to have the children receive good education. This has “been imbibed by the children and both children especially Uma are very keen to make the best of her education”, writes G. Chatterjee, formerly Joint Secretary of India and Consultant, UNIDO. Uma takes active part in all school activities including sports, arts and drawing, helps her mother at home and brother at studies. She wants to an artist and painter.
