Tandra, coming from a family of 6 with an income of Rs. 1200 (less than $25 a month), earns herself by private tution and by selling handicarfts to add to the family's income. She completed the Computer Literacy Program offered by the Govt. of West Bengal. Besides her academic work at home, she cooks and looks after the younger sisters. Her hobbies are travelling and cooking. Tandra wants to be a teacher when she grows up.
