Swaralipi lives with her mother (father deceased) on her mother's small
income of Rs 1200/- (less than $27) a month from sewing. Yet she scores 96% in
the annual exam. Her participation in areas outside study includes Computer Literacy Program by NIIT
and Art Competition organized by Balurghat Chitra Silpi Sanshad. She loves story-book reading in off-hours.
Swaralipi wants to be a pioneer in spreading the fruits of stem-cell reasearch into the poor millions who die of
incurable deseases every day.
