Suman comes from a family of 3 with an income of Rs. 1000 (less than $25 a month), where father has left the family, and mother is the bread-earner as a health-worker. He is the 3rd boy in the class, scoring 75% in the last annual exam. He takes part in sports, sit-and-draw competitions, wall magazine competition and other cultural programmes. His hobbies are reading books, sport and games and gardening. Suman wants to be a teacher and "contribute to nation-building".
