Coming from a family of 5 with a monthly income of Rs. 750 /- (less than $ 16 ) earned by father   as a small farmer , Shampa receives excellent grades in all exams including the Higher Secondary. She is currently pursuing Nursing and Midwifery course , to t he true spirit of breaking the family poverty cycle.

Shampa is good at long recitation of Tagore's poems. She always help s her family by earning through off-time private tutoring. She wants to be a good sister when she grows up .
