Coming from a family of four, where father works as a private tutor earning Rs 900/- (less than $23) a month, Mampi ranks as the first girl in class. Her extra-curricular activities are literally endless, participating from Eco-club to Student section managing committee, to social functions to about any quiz contest. She bags medals, certificates and prizes in cultural competitions, debates, sports, Sit-and-Draw and other competitions. Almost any field that she participates she gets 1st or 2nd prizes. In a word, Mampi is gem of a girl with postential for becoming one who would lead the society. However, her hobbies are drawing, storybook reading and poem-writing. Mampi wants to be (very deservingly) an IAS officer and serve the distressed people when she grows up.
