Mampi comes from a family of 6 with an income of Rs. 1200 (less than $30 a month), where father earns by hawking in railway trains. Her accomplishment is proved by the fact she could go for college-education after attaining an impressive 80% in the Madhyamik. Outside academics, she won Sangeet Bibhakar Part I in 1st div. Mampi's hobby is reading books, and she wants to be a teacher, quite fitting to her hobby.
