Debdipti comes from a carpenter-family of 5 with an income of Rs. 1200 (less than $30 a month). He stands first in a class of 150 students. Besides, his partticipation is very strong in many areas of social and community life, such as, Puja festival, Blood-donation camps, art & cultural functions, Vigyan Mancha and, of course, sports. He won prizes in drama and art. At leisure hours he helps his father in carpentry and mother in household works. Debdipti's hobby is drawing and painting. He wants to be a doctor in life.
