Comments:
The school is run by one of the veteran teachers who are very experienced in running schools
in poor neighborhoods. Ms. Mondal and Ms. Banerjee have been with Lily Foundation for at least five years,
and during this time they have shown their resilience and motivation. The students here come from very
poor mostly-minority neighborhood, whose parents display great reluctance in sending their kids to school. Lily
volunteers go inside into the community and personally meet parents to encourage their children. All three
programs, such as nutrition snacks, school uniforms and periodic healthcheck are fully implemented.
The children get to go on field trips to different interesting places. Besides, there are sports events organized.
