,TOUR REPORT –TOUR to NARRAH & DHULAI 0n 28 th &29 th JUNE,08
On 28 th June 08 morning Self & Mrs Keya Mukherjee started by road for
Narrah & Dhulai.
We reached Narrah first and had detailed discussion with Coordinator Rajesh Patra, Teacher-in charge Uttam Das , Anup Dey and the students.
Out of the earlier 11 students,4 students- Tumpa Dandapat, Ruma Pal,Moushumi Dutta and Shampa Acharya got married and discontinued .
Mrs Mukherjee indicated that now already about a year has passed , an examination is to be held with an external examiner. Mr.Baren Ghosh, a teacher of Arts & Crafts School of W.B. govt. at Bikna, Bankura agreed to act as an external examiner .Examination may be held sometime in August.
Rajesh indicated that the cheque for the Third Sewing Machine ( it has been received at the center in first week of July,08 ) has been received.
The present location of the Center is in the house of Anup Dey. But as Anup is requiring that space for their use, Rajesh offered his newly built room for the purpose. It was agreed that from August,08 the room will be used for the class and a rent will be paid. It was indicated that a Toilet for the girl students to be made. Approximate cost for the purpose will be around Rs 13,000 .This requires approval.
In future, the room may be used for the Coaching Classes.
Rajesh indicated that the prepared dresses, mainly pillow covers and Sayas, by the students will be exhibited in a stall in the village fair on the occasion of RathYatra.( It has been done and highly appreciated by the village folk and good amount of Publicity of Lily Foundation carried out ).
Uttam Das is satisfied with the progress of the students. 5 New Students-
Swati Dey, Reba Dey, Sonali Dey, Soma Dey and Purabi Patra are willing to learn at the Center .They are expected to start from next session .
Also the students have started learning and practicing Hand embroidery.Materials were provided by Mrs. Mukherjee earlier. This time also she carried required materials. One of the student is quite competent in hand he embroidery. She has been given the responsibility of managing
the task.
In the coaching Center, to improve the English, it was decided to keep one English Newspaper for 3 days , preferably The Statesman.
Rajesh indicated that a new teacher Palas Acharya has been engaged for Class XII, besides Surya Kanta Mandal for Class XI .It was clearly indicated to him that Prior Sanction from the office to be taken in such cases.He was instructed to send the Bio-Data to office.

As indicated earlier the Complete Book List for DISHARI Book Bank has to be made by Swarup Mandal .It was clearly indicated that Book List is to be completed by July,08.
One UPS for Computer procured earlier , is to be procured for smooth running. Avijit was requested to get the price quotation , at the earliest.This can be procured locally from the Imprest available .Similarly, one pack of writable CD to be procured locally.
Prasenjit desired to have the chairs , with side table for the computer classes. He was instructed to ascertain the price.
Prasenjit indicated that for the extension of the
20’ x 8’. Of Rs 80,000/. Similarly for the extension of the1st Floor –about 500 sq.ft , including the stair the civil construction cost will be Rs 3,10,000, besides the cost of piping, wiring and furnitures ofRs 55,000.

Failure reports for the students unsuccessful in Madhyamik were discussed . Tumpa Deasai failed , she could not study enough ,due to problems in her house .However, she is appearing again as an External Candidate.
