General

Special Initiatives are initiatives that may be undertaken when ideas come from members about supporting or helping a community or a group in the areas of Education and HealthCare.

Goals

  1. Impart special education to many
  2. Improve healthcare of the mass

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Procedure

At anytime during the year, the board will discuss and deliberate upon any idea brought about by a member that promises to help a large number of people. Once the idea is approved in concept, a plan will be made about the cost of starting the initiative and its operation on an on-going basis. The detail plan will have to be approved before the initiative begins. Such initiatives will cease at the discretion of the board anytime during the year if for some reason the purpose is not achieved or the available funding falls short.

Exception Clause

Special Initiatives for an individual, a family or a group can be taken up for consideration by the board as an exception if the proposing member pledges a donation in support of the cause at the onset. The board, however, may then (or may not) approve the initiative. If the board approves the initiative, the said member will pay the pledged amount first. The foundation will then contribute a matching amount (1 to 100%), as decided on a case by case basis, to add to the individual donation and pay the aggregate amount to the beneficiary.
