************************************************

Feed-the-Needy is a well-established heritage program since 1992 where delicious Indian lunch is cooked on the spot and served to the homeless people.

The participants are families who, while wearing their program shirts, become chefs. Tasty recipes, like Chicken curry, Mixed vegetables, Rice are prepared with raw ingredients and goodwill. The chefs then turn into hosts, all standing and serving the folks hot freshly cooked food with salad.

The event is held twice a year, one in mid-Spring, usually on the Mother's day, and then in the Fall. The immediate past event was held in November 2008 at Union Gospel Mission in their new facility The Gospel residents and street 'residents' all enjoyed the food with multiple rounds. The UGM Leaders always appreciate the team for the excellent treats to the homeless.

We feel proud to be associated with UGM which is an example of dedication to the human cause.
